Jepp Cherokee Limited 1992 Security Assistance System?
The battery in my 1992 Jeep Cherokee Limited keep dying, we think it is the security system and battery consumption dies only when the doors are closed and the system is running. So is there a way to disarm the system without perminalty leave the door open? and whatever else might go on killing my battery? I'm sure IM not leave anything on.
I had a problem similar but not identical, with 94. We have lost the control pad making it a discount. Mine was so old and beat, I asked my mechanic who has just disconnecting the alarm. I was afraid that doing so would make the Jeep useless. Apparently, the alarm system is fully integrated with the ignition, and disable the alarm of can disable the ignition. I suggest that the only way to disconnect the alarm without disabling the car is to get a Chrysler mechanic certificate with a wealth of knowledge to do so.
