Do a search online for the Eco-Patent Commons and learns that Nokia and Sony, IBM and Pitney Bowes-share proprietary technology to help clean the environment. One may wonder whether this is simply more good intentions at the UN, but I wonder what diesel retrofit kit manufacturer will be the first to share their patents to help everyone – and in some extent its own stock holders at the same time.
