1995 Pontiac Bonneville 3.8 unsupercharged vink?
We had the car I have been described previously for 10 years. What are some of the problems common with this engine … aside from water seepage collector Heres a little history about the car. it was a display / CAR test unit to a dealer, has leather, and 3.06 final drive with the sport suspension package. that was stolen and destroyed, so the dealer fixed it and sold it to my uncle at 98. one months before my uncle died in 2000, a new trans put in it, and then we inherited when he died. ran until 2004 and sat for 4 years until me and my grandfather fixed some major mechanical probs … (faulty intake gasket leaked water into the engine). his had 21k on it since, (171,000 miles total) and now has approximately idle, but runs great above 1500 rpm. know the problems generally associated with this engine / drivetrain?
it was wrong to burn the valves when they got high mileage on them, had a few weeks ago that it had burned a valve in it to 140 thousand, so do not rule until you run a check on the engine compression, good luck.
